Danny Kirkhum

Piano, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, & Recorder

Danny Kirkhum is a trombonist and pianist who is active on the jazz scene in New York City, and has been teaching at Church Street School for Music and Art for nine years. A multi-instrumentalist, Danny teaches piano, brass (trumpet, trombone, etc.) violin, guitar, and harmonica. He enjoys teaching music theory, and works to foster all-around musicianship in his students. “My goal is to help students achieve enough independence that they’re able to take what they’ve learned and continue enjoying making music throughout their lives, whatever path they take”.


Danny holds as Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, as well as a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music.
