Nikita Barua-Lucas hails from Mumbai, India, and relocated to New York in 2018 to pursue her passion for art. Initially holding a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Nikita realized her true calling was in the arts, having been an avid painter since the age of 15. She completed a four-year art program at P.I. Arts of Manhattan, where she received a scholarship for her excellence in Printmaking.

Nikita's artistic journey flourished as she excelled in both painting and printmaking, while also exploring sculpting and filmmaking. She has a particular affinity for working with luminescent paints, creating pieces that play with light in a unique and captivating way.

Now, as a teacher in a nonprofit school program, Nikita is dedicated to inspiring and guiding the next generation of artists, bringing her rich experience and passion for creativity into the classroom.
