Alex Dine is a Brooklyn-based artist and pianist. Originally from Missouri and raised in Maryland, she came to the city and the noise lit up her world. Trained in classical piano at the Levine School of Music, she has played in competitions all around Washington, D.C. and beyond. Before moving to New York, she started her own piano studio in Maryland and has taught children from the ages of 3 to 15. She believes heavily in the importance of theory and technique in her teaching. It is the backbone of musicality.

After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she decided to travel solo for a couple months, spanning the distance from Israel to Iceland. In her art, spotlit on accessing the poetry among the audible, the visual and the written, she strives to dance at a new angle, to drag beauty from the mundane; to be learning always.
