Dear Students, Families and Friends,

Congratulations students on all you have accomplished this year! It has been impressive to see you adapt and excel during these challenging times. We hope that music has brought some joy and sense of normalcy to you in these past months. We are all excited to hear your music on your recital videos here today!

As you all may know, CSSMA is celebrating 30 years as the only nonprofit community school for the arts in Lower Manhattan. We believe in the transformative and therapeutic power of the arts and are dedicated to providing accessibility to the arts for all.

Sadly, due to the Covid crisis, funding has been slashed for the main programs we offer to actualize our mission of arts accessibility. Namely, our partnership to offer summer and after school arts programs to our students in the South Bronx, our scholarship funding, and our free chorus programs and teen program have all experienced cuts in funding.

If you are in a position to make a donation today, we are suggesting $30 in honor of our 30th anniversary. We are also about to launch a new Peer to Peer crowd-funding campaign to raise money for these crucial programs and hope you will consider becoming a fundraiser and opening up your network to help us reach our goal of raising $30,000 by the end of August! Look out for a message about that shortly.

Join Church Street School for Virtual Summer!

This Summer we are offering 11 unique online classes for students off all ages! Class subjects range from music, to drama, and even studio art!
