The Hang- Collaborative Explorations

February 28 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

This Friday, February 28th from 6:30pm to 9pm, Church Street School for Music & Art is hosting The Hang: a weekly performance series produced in partnership with International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) and KeyedUp!

This week’s performance will feature Jacob Greenberg and Raquel Klein from ICE in the first of a series of performances titled Collaborative Explorations. Raquel Klein will serve as conductor, vocalist, pianist, and visual artist. She will be joined by Izzie Stevenson, voice; Pablo O’Connell, oboe; Yuma Uesaka, saxaphone; Katherine Kyu Hyeon Lim, violin; and Wick Simmons, cello. Jacob Greenberg will play piano.

Creative Explorations looks to bring together members of ICE and participants in their Ensemble Evolution and Summer Music Programs. Each show celebrates the collaboration between two performers by curating material that speaks to their individual practices and growth. The performance will feature works by John Cage, Nathan Davis, Phyllis Chen, and Bethany Younge as well as free improvisation.

Stop by for a night of music, drinks, and good times. $10 suggested donation.
