Wilson Montuori holds a B.F.A. in music from the City College of New York, where he was a valedictorian candidate and won the prestigious “Sidney Zolot Award,” given each year to a graduating music major who has demonstrated excellence as a performer. The first guitar teacher to come to Church Street School, Wilson is known for letting students explore the music they like while also giving them structure. Wilson has also offered his talents for major recording stars internationally, recording with Sony and Universal sigma, and continues to perform in the New York state area and abroad with ensembles ranging from folk, rock to classical. His first solo effort “Viaggio,” a collection of songs inspired by the Mediterranean sea was released in December 2012. In addition to guitar Wilson teaches ukelele and bass.
