Sugar Vendil is a director and classical pianist who thrives on making things happen. She is the founder of The Nouveau Classical Project and holds a Master of Music degree from New York University. Her performance experience includes chamber and solo concerts in New York and Europe, in venues such as Symphony Space, Issue Project Room (Brooklyn), Galapagos Art Space (Brooklyn), the Composer’s Forum (St. Petersburg, Russia), Laboral (Gijon, Spain), and others. In 2012, Sugar recorded a four-hand piano piece by Philip Glass for the hollywood film Stoker by Chan-wook Park (director of The Vengeance Trilogy). Sugar’s name is a combination of her mother and father’s names (SUsan and EdGAR).
