Stacy Werdin joined the Church Street team in August 2013. You may notice her at the front desk and around the school teaching saxophone, flute and clarinet lessons! Stacy was born and raised in Wisconsin where she received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with an emphasis in instrumental music education and saxophone. Her primary teacher was David Hastings, but she also participated in numerous master classes with renowned performers and educators; as well as actively teaching and performing throughout Wisconsin. A strong advocate for music education, Stacy taught instrumental music (5th-12th grade) in her hometown of Montello, WI for two years in an effort to give back and show how important music is to a small community. She returns annually to perform in benefit recitals in order to raise money for various causes (most recently, The March of Dimes). Stacy currently resides in Brooklyn and occasionally sings back-up vocals in a soul/R&B band.
