Romina Fernandez is a textile/garment designer, youth educator, and design instructor. A native New Yorker, Romina has having taught tailoring arts to children and teens of diverse backgrounds throughout the city for the last seven years. With technical training from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a BFA from Parsons School of Design, her work is grounded in fine arts and sustainability. Romina believes in introducing design awareness to her students through the relationship between our bodies and the garments we wear. She approaches her projects naturally and sustainably responsible, as to teach the idea of repurposing materials and its impact on the environment.
