Kevin Bernstein is a Brooklyn based keyboardist who is building attention for his soulful harmonies and fiery technical ability. At age 25 he is building a colorful career in music. He plays man styles: from r&b and jazz, to latin and funk. Kevin has done everything from accompanying singers, recording various albums in the studio, performing piano hits at bars, touring the US, and even once he backed up a fashion show on a roof. Kevin has performed at well known venues in several cities across the country: Irving Plaza, SOB’s, Dizzy’s in NYC, the San Jose Jazz Festival in CA, the Burlington Jazz Festival in VT, the Blue Whale in LA, and the Deerhead Inn in PA to name a few.

Kevin hails from Southern California, but moved to New York In 2010 to study at the Manhattan School of Music. He studied with Mark Soskin, Vijay Iyer and drummer John Riley. Since graduating from college, Kevin has performed with Stanley Banks (George Benson), Sheila E, Alice Tan Ridley, Jamie Kilstein, Donny McCaslin, Bobby Sanabria, and singers Natalie Cressman, Jason Ewald, CJ Holland, Anais Aida, and Rachel Ann Weiss.

Kevin has been teaching for the past 9 years. He has taught several students ages 5-56, in styles ranging from jazz to classical to pop. Kevin has a patient and personal approach to teaching; he uses classical training and his vast experience to instruct his students.
